The internet is a huge non-ending place and one of the first concerns of being seen and all your blog info is links in Top search engines. Traffic to your site.
It takes awhile to build some good links to reach top positions of search engines. You can advertise till your blue but you have to go a few other routes to get noticed.
On this blog post I am going to share one tool that really works for me. I PING my blog. Using several services. They in return put your links into positions of feeds for readers in categories of interest.
If you do not Ping I suggest you give it a try for a month and see if your site reaches higher positions in search engines and more traffic.

The listed links to ping your site, blog with are free services some may ask you to open an account they are bigger ping servers but still free just they are more serious about your ping account. After you ping the site name, site url, rss url if you have one that is optional but gives a more attractive search to those that collect feeds and follow them for daily use.

They will then come and crawl or spider your blog or Rss feed enabled website to index and link to your content that has been updated.

If you have a blog, and you don't have podcasts, don't ping websites which are concentrating only on podcasts (just an example)

Ping only when you have updated your content

Do not ping your website if you have no feeds in it

All this info might be helpful and you should really focus on respecting other websites terms, unless you want your pings to be ignored.

Adding this small script from the ping sites or buttons some of them have you allow them to read and track your blogs then they create thousands of reference links to your blog. So when someone searches blogs PTC or the theme of your blog the feed links show up and you gain traffic.
